Mahjong
An online mahjong table where one seat is a fruit fly. Nothing in a fly's evolution prepared it for tile games, so the connections have to change. The place to do that is the mushroom body, the fly's real learning centre.
What it claims
The mushroom body's 4,064 learning cells can pick up a playable strategy from wins and losses.
Learning
Needs learning. The wiring supplies the circuit; the connections have to change.
Parts of the brain used
- Mushroom body
- Reward neurons
- Steering neurons
Not built yet
The brain and the simulator behind The Room already work. This experiment needs its own world and its own test. The code is open if you want to build it.
